About the book
In February 1889 William Bury told Dundee police that his wife had killed herself.
She was in a packing case in the back room, her leg broken to make her fit. He was hanged for it, and the executioner said ever after that he had just hanged Jack the Ripper. He was almost certainly wrong, and this book sets out why.
